Is the 35L Global Travel Pack carry-on compliant?
The 35L Global Travel Pack is a soft-sided pack that meets carry-on size requirements for most airlines. Carry-on requirements vary by airline and flight, which is where soft-sided luggage shines. The pack is designed for carry-on travel and fits in the overhead compartment on most passenger aircraft.
What is the difference between the 35L and 45L Global Travel Packs?
Both packs share the same core design, organization, and travel features. The 35L has a more compact profile that works well for shorter trips, smaller frames, or travelers who prefer a lighter load. The 45L offers additional packing space for longer trips or bulkier gear.
Do the backpack straps and hip belt stow?
Yes. The shoulder straps and hip belt tuck into the back panel for easier handling and added protection when the pack is checked or stored.
Does it have a laptop compartment?
Yes. The pack includes a padded laptop sleeve with a false bottom that keeps the computer elevated from the base of the bag. A separate sleeve holds a tablet, documents, or other flat items.
Is the 35L Global Travel Pack waterproof?
The pack uses waterproof materials and sealing external zippers for strong weather protection. It is built to handle rain and typical travel conditions but is not intended for submersion.
How is the main compartment organized?
The main compartment can be accessed from the top while traveling or opened fully in a clamshell layout for packing. A zippered internal divider and see-through organization pockets keep the contents contained and easy to find.

The Matador® 35L Global Travel Pack is a compact, carry-on-friendly travel backpack designed for international travel, light packers, and travelers who prefer a smaller, more streamlined alternative to maximum-capacity carry-on bags. Its 35-liter capacity fits in most airplane overhead bins, although airline requirements vary. Dual Access Architecture™ combines convenient top loading with a full clamshell opening, allowing the main compartment to be packed and accessed like a suitcase.
A padded external-access laptop sleeve, separate sleeve for tablets up to 13 inches, layered admin pocket, see-through internal baffle, and high-visibility lining organize clothing, electronics, and travel essentials. Cushioned shoulder straps, a breathable back panel, adjustable load lifters, a composite framestay, and a removable hip belt help distribute heavier loads during long travel days. The shoulder straps and hip belt stow away for protected transit or checking. Waterproof 420D recycled nylon and DuraGlide™ sealing exterior zippers provide weather resistance, while dual bottle pockets, a luggage handle pass-through, RFID-blocking Smuggler’s Pocket™, location-tracker pocket, and lockable zipper loops add practical travel utility.
