How do I pack up and stow the Freefly16?
We suggest folding the pack in thirds vertically and rolling up tightly from the bottom. Unzip the top closure so that air can escape as it is rolled up. For detailed instructions, the demo video below shows the full pack up.

Is the Freefly16 hydration compatible?
No. For hydration compatibility, we suggest the Freerain28, Beast18, or Beast28.

Does this pack have a hip belt?
No. For a hip belt, we suggest the Freerain22 or Freefly28.

Does this bag have a warranty?
Yes, all advanced series bags are warrantied for 3 years. Bags in and out of warranty are eligible for repairs.

Good pack

But that little pouch is useless as I cannot get it to fit the pack into it.

Hey K.M., sorry to hear you're having trouble re-packing the backpack. We suggest folding the pack into 3rds, and then rolling it on a table. Once it's rolled, set the pack into compression bag, and use the drawstring to tighten and secure the packup.

Still Awaiting a True Test

Very soon, the Freefly will be put thru its paces. However, on inspection it's what I wanted and expected for a water resistant day pack for cruise excursions. I needed to be able to attach walking poles, stuff a rain jacket, beanie and gloves, and other essentials like a small water bottle. So far so good but I had to buy a new, smaller water bottle :-/
My suggestion is that the sleeve be able to accommodate a minimum 3" base for the water bottle!! Will not accommodate a Nalgene!

Perfect Bag!

I bought this bag for an overseas trip where I would be doing some day hikes. I wanted something compact with pockets that looked comfortable. This was my first time purchasing a Matador bag, and after using mine for a year, I'm definitely going to buy more! I love how it fits in the little mesh kit, and it's been great for the trips I've taken it on. I'm a fan! Customer service was great.
