Fantastic!

This packable backpack is simply awesome. Love the durable stretchy material. Love the deep water bottle pockets. Love the organization it has. I wish it packed down to a smaller size, but I can live with that since it makes such a great daypack when I travel.

Perfect for travel!

This backpack was perfect for a European vacation full of days of hiking and exploring small towns and nature preserves. On the way there, I packed the backpack inside my luggage -- when packed it's pretty small, maybe about the same size as two adult t-shirts rolled up tightly. During the trip, I was able to fit two Owala water bottles, a small picnic lunch and a sweater for a day of hiking. Other days it carried a lightweight raincoat for the unpredictable weather, one water bottle, and had plenty of room to hold the souvenirs and gifts we bought during the day. On the way home, the backpack served as my "personal item" for the flight. Between that and the bit of extra space in my luggage that I had now that the backpack wasn't in there, I had plenty of room for all the stuff I acquired during the trip. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! This backpack will be a permanent addition to my travel gear.

love this small bag. i can put everything i need to bring walking the streets of Casco Viejo or the beaches of Playa Grande. if it doesn't fit in the bag, then you don't need it.

    Our team has gone great lengths to build the ReFraction™ Series with sustainability and lifecycle in mind from the very beginning. These bags are built from recycled nylon that meet Bluesign® criteria. Bluesign® is a highly reputable third party certification criteria that requires that fabrics do not contain harmful substances, are environmentally friendly, and are produced in a safe and fair environment. Our materials are also free from PFC, PFA, and PFAS.

    Is the ReFraction™ Series waterproof?
    The ReFraction™ Series is built from waterproof materials and has YKK® sealing zippers. The ReFraction™ Series is designed to withstand light bouts of precipitation. Outdoor coatings add further protection by letting water slick off the fabric. If you’re looking for full weatherproofing, we recommend the Advanced Series bags.

    Are the ReFraction™ Series backpack and duffle bag personal-item size compliant?
    Yes, all of the ReFraction™ Series bags are personal-item size compliant. Also—the sling does not count against your baggage count and is considered to be an item of clothing by most airlines. This makes it an excellent place to keep your in-flight accessories or essentials when you travel—it’s free space.

    How long is the warranty?
    The ReFraction™ Series has a 3 year warranty. Equipment in and out of warranty is eligible for free repairs.
