They are perfect for holding ear plugs and My wife has them attached to her bag for our trips out of state.

Hilariously bad

Has anyone at the company tried using these earplugs?? I’m writing this review sleepless trying to get the sweet relief of silence and these earplugs.

They’re like joke earplugs that won’t stay squished literally more than 0.5 seconds making them impossible to put in your ear properly. Like… the actual ONLY point of the earplugs.

I challenge 10 people at the company to agree to be woken up abruptly on 1hr of sleep and then be forced to use these earplugs or continuously be woken up by loud noises. 10/10 will fail.

I’m not normally inspired to write reviews like this and I like many Matador products but really, these earplugs (the earplugs part) are unequivocally atrocious.

PS. The case is great.

Cole, we are sorry for your bad experience. This isn't common and typically only happens if the earplugs get wet, then squished, breaking the microscopic structure inside the foam. We recommend against washing them with water. To clean, wipe with a slighty damp cloth.

Beautiful but not functional

The case does not protect the earplugs from external dirt: dust, sand..
The case also magnetizes dust.
It's also not convenient to put the earplugs in a case.

  • How many cases and ear plugs come with the Travel Earplugs Kit?
    Each kit comes with 2 (two) silicone storage cases and 2 (two) pairs of earplugs.

    How do you use the earplugs most effectively?
    With clean hands, roll plug into a tight crease-free cylinder. With opposite hand, reach over head and pull up and back on outer ear to straighten ear canal. Quickly insert earplug well into ear canal and hold in place until it expands for comfortable, secure fit.

    How do you clean the earplugs?
    The silicone case can be rinsed with soap and water. Allow case to fully dry before inserting earplugs. Clean earplugs by gently wiping with a dry cloth or sponge. Do not introduce earplugs to moisture. Moisture can damage earplugs.

    What does 33 db NRR rating mean?
    An NRR "noise reduction rating" of 33 dB is the highest noise reduction rating offered by standard earplugs. This effectively blocks out most background-level noises.
