WHY WE BUILT THE TRAVEL EARPLUGS KIT

Travel comes with a lot of discomforts. Whether it’s noisy intercoms at the airport, a loud neighbor on the plane, or a snoring bunkmate, a good pair of sound-blocking earplugs makes all the difference. Problem is, they’re covered in crumbs at the very bottom of your bag when you need them the most.

We designed the Matador Travel Earplug Kit to keep your earplugs instantly accessible and clean so they’re always ready to go. The soft silicone cases attach to your keys or to the zipper puller of your bag so you can always find them, even in the dark. We partnered with Mack’s® Earplugs to include the quietest, most comfortable plugs on the market.

Beautiful but not functional

The case does not protect the earplugs from external dirt: dust, sand..
The case also magnetizes dust.
It's also not convenient to put the earplugs in a case.

More essential than you might think!

I initially bought these for my neurodivergent daughter. She would frequently be overwhelmed by sounds when we were out, and while she has noise cancelling headphones, those can be inappropriate at times. Since there were two sets in the box, I tossed one into my purse, in case my daughter forgot hers.

I have come to realize that *I* need these as well. So many times when waiting for the L (in the middle of an expressway), I have put these in. I have used them at concerts and movies that were too loud. I have use them once when on a packed subway train, the man sitting across from me would randomly start screaming or shouting. I have use them at hostels to drown out the snoring of others in the room and in other conditions where I could hear through walls due to outside noise or sirens. I have used them on long air flights.

I had no idea just how useful they would become and now I can’t imagine not having them with me when traveling.
