What sustainable materials are used in the ReFraction™ Series?
Our team has gone great lengths to build the ReFraction™ Series with sustainability and lifecycle in mind from the very beginning. These bags are built from recycled nylon that meet Bluesign® criteria. Bluesign® is a highly reputable third party certification criteria that requires that fabrics do not contain harmful substances, are environmentally friendly, and are produced in a safe and fair environment. Our materials are also free from PFC, PFA, and PFAS.
Is the ReFraction™ Series waterproof?
The ReFraction™ Series is built from waterproof materials and has YKK® sealing zippers. The ReFraction™ Series is designed to withstand light bouts of precipitation. Outdoor coatings add further protection by letting water slick off the fabric. If you’re looking for full weatherproofing, we recommend the Advanced Series bags.
Are the ReFraction™ Series backpack and duffle bag personal-item size compliant?
Yes, all of the ReFraction™ Series bags are personal-item size compliant. Also—the sling does not count against your baggage count and is considered to be an item of clothing by most airlines. This makes it an excellent place to keep your in-flight accessories or essentials when you travel—it’s free space.
How long is the warranty?
The ReFraction™ Series has a 3 year, Total-Protection-Warranty. Built from high quality outdoor fabrics, the ReFraction™ Series is made to last. Equipment in and out of warranty is eligible for free repairs. (Excludes European Union)

I was very excited that this had a stretchy looking outside pocket, as that is where I like to put my phone. It does fit my iPhone 16.. but it is not easy to slip in and out of the pocket, its a squeeze to fit it in there. Which is unfortunate because that should be an easy access type of pocket. Because there is a zipper on that pocket it makes the opening smaller. If it was just an open pocket with no zipper, I think it would work better. When my phone is in the pocket, its kind of stretched to the max, which makes opening the main zipper pocket awkward. I also was having a hard time figuring out how to adjust the straps, still not really sure how to.
Other than those things, its comfortable to wear, it looks cute, and I like the little handle on top. If my phone was smaller, I would probably love this. But unfortunately I wont be using this as my daily purse as I had hoped.
I now have two. I like it so much.
I bought this bag for my Japan trip and it was perfect! It fits a surprising amount of stuff. I got the, almost white colored one, and considering it went everywhere with me for 20 days, it stayed pretty much clean and dry during rainy days. Definitely recommend!
